The Rizzo Family Foundation
Creating Opportunities, Changing Lives

The Rizzo Family has been working with the Arthritis Foundation for over a decade. Anthony & Patty learned about The Arthritis Foundation after their youngest son, Ryan, was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) at only three years of age. He is now 30 years old and has experienced more debilitating pain than any young person should. Most people are not aware that arthritis is the number one cause of disability in our country, affecting over 50 million Americans – many of them children. Through their work partnering with the Arthritis Foundation, they have helped to not only raise funds to aid this cause, but to create a community here in CT where families can find resources and support. The Rizzo Family Foundation Golf Tournament is a fun day out on the green for our guests as they support an important cause. So far, this 14- year journey has raised over 2-million dollars!

Public Awareness

Public awareness is essential for highlighting juvenile arthritis, a condition often overlooked. Increasing awareness enhances understanding of the challenges faced by those affected and their families, promoting community support and connection. Greater awareness encourages open conversations, medical research advancements, and more funding for treatments. Our foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals with juvenile arthritis and promoting proactive solutions. Through raising awareness and public outreach, we aim to reshape the narrative around juvenile arthritis, ensuring no one faces their journey alone.

Hope for a Cure

Our commitment to improving the lives of those affected by arthritis is unwavering. Through strategic partnerships and funding initiatives, we are actively contributing to the advancement of arthritis research and the search for a cure. Our foundation supports groundbreaking studies aimed at understanding the genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that contribute to arthritis, while also focusing on developing innovative treatments to alleviate its symptoms.

Community

Through strategic partnerships and impactful initiatives, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and families in our communities. Our focus on public awareness, healthcare, and community development allows us to address critical challenges and foster sustainable improvements. By investing in the well-being and potential of local businesses, we aim to create a lasting legacy of positive change.
